Australian manufacturing is forecast to experience a marginally better year in 2007. After two consecutive years of decline in sales volume, this year will see a modest return to volume growth.
The improvement takes place within an environment where restructuring continues, employment numbers will be further lowered, and companies are looking to take greater advantage of offshoring opportunities.
