Skills Recognition and Matching Service:
Apart from companies re-skilling their existing workers and sourcing apprentices, they will need to look at innovative ways of attracting new workers into the industry, while ensuring existing workers remain in the industry. This project will consult with the manufacturing industry and other key stakeholders to develop a skills recognition and matching web-based service to support industry and maximise employees career opportunities through skill recognition.
Objectives of this project are;
o Through industry, employee and other key stakeholder consultation identify and map occupations/qualifications to target skills recognition across the manufacturing industry sector.
o Design and develop a marketing strategy to promote the concept of the skill recognition and matching service to the broader manufacturing sector.
o Design, develop and implement a skills recognition and matching website service, identifying improvement and impediments of the website service.
o Design and develop marketing resources to promote the skills recognition and matching website service to industry, employees and other key stakeholders.
o Investigate, consult and report on the sustainability of the skills recognition and matching service across the broader manufacturing industry sector.
o Evaluate the objectives of the project, identifying successes, improvements and impediments for the web base service.
