The Manufacturing Industry Skills Advisory Council Inc. trading as MISAC was established by key industry organisations to represent the workforce development interests of South Australia’s Manufacturing Industry. MISAC is one of nine Industry Skills Boards which have replaced the previous State based Industry Training Advisory Bodies (ITAB’s).
MISAC represents the broad interests of our Manufacturing industry sectors workforce development needs, through a 12 member Board and four Industry Standing Committees, namely:
- Automotive
- Light Manufacturing
- Metal, Engineering and Aerospace
- Process Manufacturing
MISAC will work with industry, the Community and Government to:
- Identify workforce development trends, emerging skill requirements and the recruitment and retention of a skilled workforce
- Provide accurate industry intelligence to Government on current and future skill needs and training requirements for our industry
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of quality nationally recognised Training Products and Services, including Training Packages.
